CNNA Architects is known for innovative design of national and regional shopping centers. As a firm that prides itself on looking beyond "off the shelf" product options, CNNA undertakes an intensive design process on every project that often includes creating custom finishes.

"In a single month, the interiors group at CNNA was managing six regional malls," said principal Richard Nelson, AIA. "This was a fortunate situation to be in, but one that presented a particular challenge to our designers because of the high level of quality that we demand of ourselves, and that our clients expect."

Under Nelson's leadership, the team used Tricycle-simulated carpet prints from Interface to get through several rounds of color options in a shorter time than another mill was able to deliver its initial physical sample.

"Without the Tricycle prints, our ability to bring together the custom colors and nuances would not have been achievable, in the time span we had. Using the prints, we were making changes and then literally receiving refinements and iterations overnight. We used the prints not only to make color selections, but to present ideas to our client."

Using Tricycle simulation, Interface Flor Commercial has shipped thousands of 50 cm square print samples of its products to designers. Focusing primarily on custom patterns and custom color of running line patterns, Tricycle is a key component of Interface's Mission Zero campaign.

Tricycle helps further Interface's long-established reputation for enabling designers to find the right product quickly, with a high level of service and low design waste.

Interface is also the first company to take Tricycle advantages global, installing paper print sampling capabilities in its European and Asia-Pacific divisions.
