Last year, over 5 billion pounds of carpet went into U.S. landfills and over $1 billion was spent by carpet manufacturers to produce samples — products used only briefly in the design process, then thrown away.

At the Ciba Carpet Conference (a supplementary event of this year's Floor Tek Expo, Jonathan Bragdon, President and co-founder of Tricycle, will share his vision for creating innovative, integrated processes and methodologies along the manufacturing and merchandising chain to address waste in the design process.
