Last month more designers, architects and manufacturers joined together to save more resources and divert more carpet from landfill than ever before. The most successful month in Tricycle’s history means our message is being heard. People are designing more — faster — with less waste.
Tricycle set out to create a revolution in 2002. Now we are moving through our own evolution. Co-founder Jonathan Bragdon’s tenure as Tricycle’s CEO and leader is coming to an end. As often happens with companies born of innovative concepts, the ideator has more than one great idea to pursue. Such is the case with Jonathan. [view press release]
Luckily for Tricycle, Jonathan will continue to mentor us through this transition. He remains our cheerleader and it certainly feels good to keep him as our friend. We wish Jonathan well and we know great things are in his future. Aern Hetem, Tricycle’s long-time Chief Technology Officer and senior executive, will step-up to provide day-to-day leadership.
To you, our customers, partners and investors… Thanks. Thank you for your continued support and your belief that our industry can do good, can improve processes, and can design without depleting the planet of resources while filling it with waste.
Frankly, it’s a scary-happy time. The training wheels are off and the safety of the familiar is behind us; ahead, the adventure of bringing even more new ideas to market. It’s time to grow. We are ready.
